§ About · Houston, TX

One firm.
Three disciplines.

RSK is a Houston-based professional services firm that brings tax, insurance, and consulting under a single roof — coordinated by senior partners, designed for how modern businesses actually operate.

Our thesis

Most firms pick a lane.
We don’t.

Tax decisions affect insurance. Insurance decisions affect operations. Operational decisions affect tax. RSK was built so those conversations happen in the same room — not across three separate vendors with separate incentives.

01
Senior partners lead

No bait-and-switch. The partner who wins the work runs the work.

02
Integrated by design

Tax, risk, and consulting teams collaborate on one client strategy — not three disconnected ones.

03
Houston-rooted

Built for the businesses, industries, and families that drive this region.

04
Independent

No product quotas. No captive carriers. Advice you can actually trust.

Leadership

The partners.

Five Partners. Three disciplines. One firm. Each partner leads their practice and coordinates with the others on behalf of every client.

Portrait of Steven Ramos

Steven Ramos

Partner · Tax Advisory

Steven is a CPA and tax advisor with over 14 years of public accounting experience, helping private and public companies, investors, and ownership groups turn tax into a strategic driver of value. He partners with business owners, finance leaders, and executives throughout the year — not just at filing — to align tax strategy with how the business operates and where it’s going, working fluently across federal, state, and international tax.

Across different business platforms, Steven helps owners and management make the structural and planning decisions that most shape after-tax results — from entity selection to long-term tax strategy. He teams closely with executives and ownership groups, bringing deep command of the mechanics that drive owner economics. The value of that work shows up where it matters most to a business: lower effective tax rates, improved cash flow, and capital freed up to reinvest in growth. By aligning tax strategy with how the business actually operates and where it’s headed, Steven helps owners reduce risk, avoid costly surprises, and keep more of what they earn working toward their goals.

That planning lens extends into transactions, where Steven advises on M&A from both the buy side and sell side, guiding clients through structuring considerations, and on cross-border matters for inbound and outbound businesses. He also brings significant experience in renewable energy, advising sponsors, developers, and investors on energy tax credits, incentives, and tax equity structures, including Inflation Reduction Act–driven planning and credit monetization.

Backed by deep technical command across partnership, S corporation, and corporate taxation, ASC 740, and transaction structuring, Steven translates complex tax concepts into clear, practical guidance and stays engaged from planning through implementation and compliance. Known for a collaborative, client-first approach, he partners closely with companies and business owners — grounding strategy in accurate data and standing alongside them as a trusted advisor at every stage of the business.

Raza Chawdhary

Partner · Risk & Insurance

Raza leads RSK’s risk management and insurance practice. A Houston native with over 15 years of experience across commercial insurance and financial services, he brings a hands-on, client-first approach to building protection programs that fit the businesses they cover.

His practice is built around understanding how business owners operate — the exposures they face, the gaps they don’t see, and the coverage structures that hold up when it matters. He works across commercial property and casualty, general liability, professional liability, workers’ compensation, and employee benefits, with deep experience in healthcare, logistics, real estate, multifamily, construction, oil & gas, and hospitality. He also advises clients on personal insurance needs including high-value homeowners, auto, umbrella, life, and collections coverage.

Before commercial insurance, Raza spent a decade in private banking in New York City, advising high-net-worth individuals and navigating complex organizational structures. That background gives him a distinctive lens on how risk, wealth, and business strategy intersect — and how the right insurance program supports both.

How we work

Four principles that shape
every engagement.

Not positioning. Operating discipline.

i.
Partner in the room

Every engagement has a named partner who is accountable for the outcome.

ii.
Plain language

Advice is worthless if it can’t be understood. We write the way we talk.

iii.
Document everything

Positions we take, decisions we make, trade-offs we weigh. All on the record.

iv.
Available when it matters

Same-day response. No overseas hand-offs. Real people who know your file.

Let’s talk
about what you need.
